Before we rush into “fixing” what’s not working, let’s pause for something far more powerful: imagining what could be.
Most of us rarely give ourselves permission to do that. We’re too busy reacting to what’s in front of us (work deadlines, bills, responsibilities) to stop and ask:
👉 What do I actually want my life to taste like?
This week, we’re diving into the first step of designing your life: imagining the “dish” you want to eat.
I still remember when I finally asked myself that question. For years, I was following a path that looked “good” on paper - stable job, steady income, clear progression. But inside, something felt flat, like a meal that filled me up but left me unsatisfied.
It wasn’t until I paused to imagine a life with more creativity, more connection, and more freedom that I realized what I was craving. That simple act of imagining became the spark that guided every decision that followed!

🍴 A Coaching-Infused Reflection: Imagining Your Dish
If your life were a dish, what would be on the plate?
What would your core ingredients be - the non-negotiables that sustain you (health, finances, meaningful work)?
What personal twists would make it uniquely yours - creativity, curiosity, travel, learning, laughter?
What ambience would make it deeply satisfying - calm mornings, stimulating conversations, supportive relationships?
During one of my recent workshops, Baylee pictured her life as a Vietnamese noodle dish - precise and consistent, but with a fiery surprise! It reflected her desire for both stability and disruption: a life where she knows what to expect but still leaves room for adventure.
And Carla imagined a mix of sushi, paella, and seafood - a plate full of variety and unexpected flavors. Her dream wasn’t about one perfect plan. It was about exploration, creativity, and joy.
✨ This isn’t about figuring everything out. It’s about listening to those quiet cravings - the ones that hint at a life that would feel more like you.

This gentle reflection is often where clarity begins - not in fixing what’s wrong, but in daring to imagine what’s possible.
