Last week, we explored what your ideal dish might look like - the ingredients, flavors, and ambience that would make life feel deliciously yours. 🍲

But before you can start cooking, there’s a crucial step: checking what’s already in your pantry!

Because here’s the truth: many of us jump straight into chasing more (more goals, more habits, more strategies) without ever stopping to see what we’re already working with. And sometimes, that’s why we feel stuck!!!

🥫 A Coaching-Infused Reflection: What’s in Stock… and What’s Missing?

I’ll be honest: the first time I did this exercise myself, it was uncomfortable. 😅

Some areas of my life (like finances and physical health) felt like fresh, high-quality staples in my pantry. Others? Not so much. My “creativity” jar was empty, and my “well-being” cheese had gone stale…

But that moment of truth was freeing. Because

Once I saw where I stood, I could finally make intentional choices instead of vague plans!

Clients often share the same realization. Like Sarah, who said her “sandwich” (life) tasted fine but lacked presentation - the atmosphere and joy around it. Or Sunita, who described her life as “pesto pasta without the zing,” missing the financial security that would make everything else click.

The key isn’t to judge what’s missing - it’s to get curious:

👉 Which areas of your life feel nourishing right now?

👉 Which ones feel bland, low-quality, or even expired?

👉 Where are you overstocked - spending energy on things that no longer serve you?

What’s ONE Action You Can Take After This Reflection?

Here’s your pantry check challenge for the week:

  • List 6-8 areas of your life (e.g., work, health, finances, creativity, relationships, learning, well-being, etc.).
  • Give each one a quick “quality score” from 0 to 10 - not to grade yourself, but to get a feel for where things stand.
  • Notice without judgment which “ingredients” surprise you - whether they’re overflowing, running low, or missing completely.

Optional bonus: Track your energy for one day. ✍️ Note what fuels you and what drains you. Sometimes the emptiest jars are the ones we ignore!
