Today, I feel like starting with asking you: What’s going well for you today… this month, this year?
Not because we should ignore “what’s not going well” – and some of you may be going through some very difficult times, and I certainly don’t want to dismiss that! – but because we have a tendency to only see the negative, even when we have some positive going on…
For me, right now, it’s realizing that “spring is in the air” here in Toronto, Canada… and it’s a beautiful feeling that makes the start of this new week more joyful…
So, what’s going well for you?

And for our fourth and final session together, let’s conclude with: How to remind yourself of the options we discussed throughout this series of conversation?

In the previous sessions, we explored:
- How we would describe our actual feelings in a specific situation if the term “imposter syndrome” did not exist… and how we could support ourselves as we would support our best friend coming to us with these feelings…

One thing we could do to feel a little better next time we have those feelings…
- How we could change the story we tell ourselves in those moments, bringing a more positive story to mind…
Can you see yourself, next time you’re in an “imposter syndrome” situation, taking a few moments to think back about those conversations, remembering at least ONE of these techniques… putting it into action… and feeling that, yes, you’re in the right “place” (even if you don’t know everything!) and no, you’re not an “imposter”!
Now, imagine that the next 20 minutes are just about YOU (your time, your space, your voice, your thoughts…) and you’re having a deep conversation with me, your coach... Just let your mind wander as you think about the questions below…:
- What’s your favorite technique, out of the ones we explored in the previous sessions?
- What do you feel / notice within yourself when you think of this technique?
- What is it in this technique that “attracts” you?
- How could you “store” these “attractions” in your brain, so that at least one is available “on demand”?

“Conclusion”: What’s ONE “trick” you can use to keep these “attractions” available to you whenever you feel in the “imposter syndrome” coming up?

Can you imagine yourself having regular “power” conversations, getting used to designing your own actions (in a way that you’re ready to make them happen) and, one small action after another, progressing toward your goal?
