Hello Christelle,

I believe that looking for inspiration, exploring and finding ways to expand our view of the possibilities that are “out there” are key elements of Designing, Building and then Leading OUR Lives in a way that suits US…

One way to “open” my mind that I like and that works well for me is to listen to podcasts and YouTube videos – and here are a couple of my favorites:

Inspiration, exploration, expansion…

Best of the WWEST series

This podcast is hosted by the Westcoast Women in Engineering, Science and Technology - providing role models for women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

I think this podcast provides great opportunities to learn about the many professional opportunities in the STEM fields (many of which we have no idea exist!), but also to learn about how others got involved in these careers… as well as what "side activities" some do to promote diversity and awareness... This is a great source of INSPIRATION!

Stories of the Soul

And here is a very different podcast… I "discovered" Najwa Zebian last year through a number of podcasts and YouTube videos (I'm still to read of her books). I resonated with many of her perspectives on going through difficult times, rebuilding ourselves, and self-esteem. And I enjoyed listening to her latest series of her "Stories of the Soul" podcast - learning about other people's perspective on dealing with difficult times.

What are you favorite podcasts / webinars / videos that inspire you, allow you to explore and to expand your view of what’s possible? Don’t hesitate to share!

Empowering yourself - starting with holding yourself accountable…

As this is the end of the month (already!), let’s take the time to reflect on the steps taken (or not) in the last few weeks:

  • Are you TAKING the steps you said you would take?
  • If YES, how does it feel to take some action (even of only one little step at a time)?
  • And are you CELEBRATING taking these steps (rather than only celebrating if you get the result you want)?
  • If NOT taking the steps, what’s REALLY stopping you?
