World Gratitude Day is coming up soon, on September 21, 2024…
If you’re into some form of mindset or spiritual development, you’ve probably heard of the benefits of reflecting on what you’re grateful for in life…
And, like everything, gratitude means different thing to different people, is noticed and appreciated differently, and can be developed in many different ways…
But do you know the best way for YOU to do Gratitude so that you get the most out of it?
Because we all know that just following someone else’s routine may not work for us…
Because we know that doing something repetitively, but not mindfully, won’t have much of an impact…
Because we know we’re unique individuals, and so we have to find out what works for us!
And so… Have you ever thought of taking a moment to reflect on what Gratitude is for YOU?

This week’s topic: How to do Gratitude your way?
Let’s start with setting the scene for this Coffee-Break Coaching conversation:
You’ve heard a lot about Gratitude…
You’ve heard a lot about how to be grateful, about the benefits…
But what it really is and how it really works may still be fuzzy in your head…
Leaving you confused about what YOU can do so that it HELPS you make the best of your life!

Now, imagine that the next 20 minutes are just about YOU (your time, your space, your voice, your thoughts…) and you’re having a deep conversation with me, your coach... Just let your mind wander as you reflect on the questions below…:
- When you hear the word “gratitude”, what comes up for you (and forget any definition you’ve heard of that word!)? – what it is for you, what you feel or notice within you, what thoughts are showing up…
- Stay there a little longer: Are those thoughts, feelings, sensations really YOURS, or are some of them there because you think you “should” have them (but they don’t feel quite right for you)? – just keep the ones that are YOURS!
- Now, WHEN would you like (and are able) to take a moment to bring those thoughts, feelings, sensations back up: in the morning, in the evening, regularly throughout the day, at the weekend…
- And HOW would you like to do it: writing in a journal, in your head while taking a walk, on your cell while commuting, while enjoying your morning coffee…
- Finally, WHAT can you do to make this your new routine?
So, what’s ONE action you’re COMMITTING to do THIS WEEK following this Coffee-break Coaching conversation? (even a small action like scheduling a task in your calendar!)
And now, imagine you’ve taken that ONE action, and then another one, and another one… and now you have your very own gratitude routine that works for you…
How does it FEEL like? What are you GAINING because of this routine “made for you”?
