Hi Christelle,

I remember a “light bulb” moment I had at the beginning of my career in the construction industry… when I realized that “being different” was very probably more valuable to me than trying to be as good as, or better, than others… Like being bi-lingual before it was a "thing", going for different types of professional experiences (size and types of projects, roles, types of employers) and finding ways to get international experiences…

But that doesn’t mean that I know everything about “being different” – far from it!

Exploring a world of differences… or at least taking some steps in that direction!

One method I like to use to continue to explore the world of “differences” is through podcasts and YouTube channels, such as:

Sophia Casey TV

As a white western European woman, listening to Sophia's series "Fierce Vulnerability Summit" was a great way to open my eyes to a different world, to listen to conversations that I'm not (yet) having with my social circle…

Sally Hogshead

This is a different type of exploring… With her motto "Different Is Better Than Better", Sally brings the meaning of the word “different” to a whole new level in the corporate and entrepreneurial world!

Question for you: How do you go about exploring worlds that are “different” to yours?

Empowering yourself - starting with holding yourself accountable…

Let’s check on last week:

  • Are you TAKING the step(s) you said you would take?
  • Did you take a moment to ACKOWLEDGE taking that step?

And week:

  • What’s ONE other step you can take this week?
  • Do you know what you will GAIN from taking this STEP?
