I’ve been there myself - especially when I wanted to make the leap from the construction industry to the world of empowerment. I was excited but unsure. I wanted to move forward but couldn’t figure out what was holding me back… until I realized that I had no roadmap, no role model, and I didn’t know where to start… Then, I could look into “what to do about it”!

What’s keeping you stuck right now?

Pause and ask yourself:

• What’s the fear or hesitation stopping you from moving forward?
• What’s the one thing that’s holding you back from taking that first step?
• Are you waiting for someone else to show you the way, or do you feel stuck because there’s no clear example?

This was a turning point for Charlene, a marketing manager, who was feeling overwhelmed by a big goal but was paralyzed by how to get started. She thought:

“If I don’t have a clear model to follow, how can I even take the first step?”

Charlene realized that she had been waiting for someone “like her” to show her that what she wanted to do could be done, but she wasn’t seeing that person. That’s when she understood: she needed to create her own path, even if it meant taking a small, messy first step!

Now, what’s ONE action you WILL take after this reflection?

Take a moment to identify the one thing holding you back right now, the one thing that you want to “deal with”: Is it fear? Overwhelm? Or simply not knowing where to begin?

Choose one small action you can take to own, fully acknowledge, or accept, that fear or uncertainty.
