Christelle,
Sometimes, we don’t feel stuck because there are no options.
We feel stuck because we keep approaching the situation the same way.
The same thoughts. The same angle. The same attempt to untangle it.
And after a while, everything starts to feel tighter…
A different way to look at this
When people hear the word creativity, they often think about art.
But creativity is much simpler than that.
Sometimes, it’s simply the ability to see another possibility.
One of the ways I often help clients do this is through metaphor.
A situation can suddenly become:
- thick fog when nothing feels clear,
- a roundabout when every option feels uncertain,
- or a road trip when career decisions feel long, messy, and unpredictable.
And something interesting often happens:
- The pressure softens a little.
- People stop trying to force the “right” answer… and begin noticing options they couldn’t see before.
Sometimes clarity appears more easily when we stop trying so hard to force it.
The mind starts wandering in new directions.
And suddenly, something that felt blocked begins to move again.
A question for you
What’s one way of looking at your situation that you haven’t considered yet?
One simple move
Take one situation that currently feels stuck.
Then describe it differently.
Not as a problem to solve. But as an image, a place, a journey, or even a weather forecast.
You don’t need the perfect metaphor.
Just something that helps your mind step outside the usual path for a moment.
A reminder
If you feel stuck in one way of thinking, we can take 30 minutes to explore your situation together and see what new options emerge.
To new perspectives and gentler thinking,
Christelle
