Christelle,

Some weeks feel heavier than others.

Even when, on the surface, nothing seems to be “wrong”.

Like this third Monday of January referred to as Blue Monday - a label often used to describe a dip in energy or motivation.

A clear lens

For a long time, when my motivation dropped, I treated it like a problem.

Something to get out of as quickly as possible.

Something to push through.

But that’s not how I re-energise.

What actually works for me is stopping for a moment.

Sometimes longer than I’d like.

Listening before moving again.

That’s not giving up.

That’s information.

Low motivation is often a signal to pause and adjust - not to push harder.

A few questions to reflect

When your energy dips, what do you usually do?

Do you rush to get back “on track”?

Or do you give yourself a little space to listen?

And if you were to listen for a moment, what might this heaviness be asking for?

More rest?

More clarity?

Less pressure?

Of course, circumstances don’t always make this easy.

Deadlines and responsibilities don’t disappear.

But even then, simply noticing what feels heavy can change how you move through it.

One small step

Choose one thing you won’t push this week.

Let that be enough.

And that’s all for today.

Two gentle invitations

Sample Coffee-Break Coaching sessions

In February, I’ll be offering a limited number of free sample Coffee-Break Coaching sessions - short, focused conversations (20 minutes) to help you regain clarity when things feel heavy or stuck.

If this feels supportive, keep an eye on the next newsletter for additional information.

An open door, anytime

If you’d prefer a longer conversation to explore whether working together would be a good fit, you’re also welcome to schedule a 30-minute conversation with me here.

No pressure.

Just two ways to connect, if and when it feels right.

Warmly,

Christelle
