Happy Monday, Christelle!

The other day, I caught myself getting caught up in something that didn’t need to feel that heavy:

Administrative tasks. Forms. Public services.

Since moving back to France, there’s been quite a bit of that!

And I could feel the tension building - not just while dealing with it, but long after it was done…

That familiar loop of replaying things in my head…

A different way to look at this

With World Laughter Day coming up on May 3, it made me notice something I’ve been doing differently - not perfectly, but more often:

Instead of staying in that tension, I’ve been catching it earlier,

And choosing to interrupt it:

  • A conversation with a friend.
  • A few minutes of something that makes me laugh.
  • A small break before the stress settles in too deeply.

Nothing dramatic.

But enough to shift how the rest of the day feels.

Because not everything needs to be carried with intensity!

Some things can be held more lightly, without being avoided or dismissed!

A small question

What would feel different if you approached it (just one thing on your list) a little more lightly?

One simple move

Pick one task today that usually feels heavy.

Do it with less pressure:

  • Take a short break before or after.
  • Let yourself step away once it’s done.
  • Avoid replaying it.

And then notice what changes.

Invitation

If this resonates, and you’re curious about finding your own way to move forward with a bit more ease, we can take 30 minutes to talk it through and see whether working together could be helpful for you.

You can schedule a conversation with me here.

To a little more lightness,

Christelle
