Hello Christelle,
A short pause
We often wait to celebrate:
- Until something is completed.
- Until a goal is achieved.
- Until results are visible.
Only then does it feel legitimate…
A clear lens
With International Women’s Day approaching on March 8, I’ve been reflecting on how closely we tie celebration to outcomes.
Yet one of the most powerful lessons I learned during my coaching training was this:
Celebrate the doing!
The showing up. The effort. The small step.
Not just the result.
It completely changes the experience!
Confidence grows sooner.
Motivation feels steadier.
And those inevitable moments when results disappoint don’t carry quite as much weight…
I’ve been experimenting with this in the last few years.
When I show up for what I said I would do, I pause to acknowledge it.
A good cup of tea. Listening to a favourite song. Five minutes of doing nothing at all.
Nothing dramatic.
Just recognition.
And it shifts something.
A few questions to reflect
What do you appreciate about how you show up (even when no one sees it)?
What small effort have you made recently that you moved past without noticing?
What would it feel like to acknowledge that now?
One small step
Choose one thing about yourself to quietly celebrate today.
Not because it was perfect.
Not because it’s finished.
Simply because you showed up.
And let that be enough.
A gentle bridge
If this way of building confidence and momentum resonates, and you’re curious about exploring it more intentionally, we can talk.
I offer 30-minute conversations as a space to think things through and see whether a longer partnership would make sense - schedule your call here.
To recognising yourself sooner,
Christelle
